We fell in love with the Provençal ideal: that restoration begins at the table, continues on the trail, and completes itself in stillness. Cal‑a‑Vie Health Spa was built on that conviction, and every stay remains devoted to it.
Across 200 acres of California hillside — vines, sycamores, the Chapel, and the Labyrinth — thirty-two rooms receive no more than thirty-two guests at a time. Your schedule is shaped with you. Your meals arrive from the garden. Your days move from movement to stillness to the open sky.

THE PLACE
A Coastal Valley du Vin
Hidden in the hills of northern San Diego County, seven miles inland from the Pacific — sun-kissed fields, sycamore woodlands, and the vine.
The land surrounding Cal‑a‑Vie is known for its sun-kissed fields and sycamore woodlands. Stone buildings arrived from Dijon — the Chapel circa 1615, L'Orangerie circa 1710, the Parish House circa 1715, each stone numbered for shipment — and were reassembled on this California hillside as though they had always belonged here.
In the valley below, the estate vineyard produces the wine poured at dinner. The Labyrinth opens before breakfast. The Observatory opens at night. Arrive, and the land will do the rest.
